The Soviet period 1920–1941, 1944–1991

Gubernias were abolished in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in 1923–1925. It was replaced by the okruha and raion system. In the start there were 53 okruhas, but after a consolidation in 1925 the number of okruhas was lowered to 41. In 1930–1932 okruhas were abolished and, after a further consolidation, replaced by oblasts. The Vinnytsia (Russian: Vinnitsa) oblast was founded on 27 February 1932. It was divided into 27 raions, one being Pohrebryshche (Russian: Pogrebrische) raion. The village of Andrushivka from now on belonged to Pohrebryshche raion.
